Tülin Özen

Born on December 24, 1979, in Iskenderun, after graduating from Izmir Bornova Anatolian High School, she studied at Istanbul Technical University Electrical Engineering Department for a while, then left ITU and continued her education at Yeditepe University Faculty of Fine Arts Acting Department with a scholarship. She received the Best Actress Award at the 41st Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival with Semih Kaplanoğlu's film Angel's Fall, which was her first professional project in front of the camera. She also took part in the Honey, Milk, Egg trilogy of the same director. In 2008, she won the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 16th International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival for her role in the movie Conscience. Since 2005, she has worked with successful directors such as Erden Kıral, Zeynep Dadak, and Pelin Esmer, and also took part in the movie Abluka, directed by Emin Alper, which won the Special Jury Prize at the 72nd Venice Film Festival. Most recently, she played the lead character Nesrin in the Selman Nacar movie Hesitation Wound, which premiered at the 80th Venice Film Festival.

Özen, who has taken part in many theater and film projects over the years, also took on leading roles in popular mainstream TV series and film projects such as Beyaz Gelincik, Magnificent Century: Kösem, Ufak Tefek Cinayetler, Kırmızı Oda, Pek Yakında. She worked with successful directors in digital series projects that made a splash on international platforms, such as Masum, Bir Başkadır and Pera Palas. She currently continues her active theater career at Bahçe Galata, of which she is the founding partner.
