FIPRESCI Jury
Britt Sørensen
Worked as a journalist in the cultural section in the regional daily newspaper Bergens Tidende from 1993 to 2019, and as a film critic from 2005. Now retired, but still freelancing for the same newspaper, she was a member of the nomination commitee for The Nordic Council Film Award between 2011-2020.
She has represented FIPRESCI at Film Festivals in Haugesund, Vilnius, Miskolc, Karlovy Vary and Gothenborg, and was in the nomination commitee for European Film Awards Discovery Section (2020-2023). She is a member of the board of Norwegian Film Critics Assosiation since 2009 and a member for the International Jury for The Critics Award for Arab Films from 2019 on.
Katharina Dockhorn
Katharina Dockhorn studied history and cultural science at Humboldt University of Berlin. She has been working as a freelance journalist for tv stations, newspapers, and trade magazines for over 30 years. She has been a Golden Globe voter since 2022 and a jury member of the Arabic Film Prize critic jury since 2019.
Necla Algan
Cinema critic Necla Algan was born in Istanbul in 1958. She studied Turkish Language and Literature at Istanbul University, and Cinema and Television at Mimar Sinan University. Her film reviews and cinema articles were published in Antrakt, 25. Kare, Evrensel Kültür, Yeni Sinema, Altyazı, Pazartesi, Kadın Dünyası, Toplum Bilim, Empire, Sine-Sen, Yeni Film magazines. She is one of the authors of Sadeliğin Derinliğinde Bir Usta: Lütfi Akad, published by Dost Kitabevi, Taşrada Var Bir Zaman, published by Çitlenbik Publications, and Sınıf İlişkileri ve Devrim yahut Vasat, published by Bağlam Publications. She is the producer and director of the documentary Farewell… Hello (2011) and the screenwriter of the feature film Fikret Bey (2007).
